Development of the Board of Directors:
Our goal is to strengthen the board
in the areas of diversity, experience and expertise in order
to enhance our ability to raise funds, attract supporters and
set a course for growth while maintaining operational efficiency.
Expansion into new markets: Ken's
Kids currently operates in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania,
Delaware, Maryland and Indiana. By the end of 2010, our goal
is to have expanded our reach to serve Virginia and other geographic
New partner development: Our
relationships with our employment partners are a big part of
the reason we have been able to achieve five year retention
rates near fifty percent. The Home Depot and CVS Caremark provide
a pipeline of good jobs and supportive work environments for
our associates. Our goal is to add 2 more employment partners
of the caliber of our existing partners by the end of 2010 and
another 2 partners in 2011.
Current partner expansion: Currently,
Ken's Kids has associates in 54 Home Depot stores and 11 CVS stores. Our goal is to increase
the number of both Home Depot and CVS stores participating in our program by 25% by the end of 2010.
Funding channels: Our
goal is to increase government funding by 50% and grow individual
and private foundation funding by 25% by the end of 2010.
